Olga Savarenskaya (1948 - 2000)
Born in Leningrad in 1948. Graduated from the staging department of the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre Music and Cinematography. Set designer, painter and graphic artist. Worked with directors G. Yanovskaya, V. Filshtinsky, G. Kozlov, L. Stukalov and P. Fomenko.
Created costumes and sets for 72 dramatic performances in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Petrozavodsk, Arkhangelsk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk and other cities of Russia. Best-known performances: The Misanthrope (1975) at the Leningrad Comedy Theatre; The Fruits of Enlightenment" (1985) at the Mayakovsky Theatre in Moscow; The Case (1988) at the Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow, and others.
Starting in 1972 Olga Savarenskaya experienced several one-woman shows in Petersburg, Moscow and Germany.
Her works can be found in museums in Petersburg and Moscow, and also in private collections in Russia and abroad (France, Germany).
