Born in St. Petersburg. Graduated from the St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy in 1985 (M.A. Smirnov's class). Elena has worked at drama and musical theatres in Russia, Latvia and Kirgizia as a staging artist and costume designer. She has worked on more than 20 performances, including Talented People and Admirers (directed by A. Veselov) in Khabarovsk, and the same performance at the St. Petersburg Open Theatre (directed by O. Levakov); The Young Lady in Kemerovo; the ballets A Cold Heart and The Nutcracker in Perm; costumes for performances designed by Emil Kapelush at the Bolshoy Drama Theatre; The Father, The Long-Legged Lie, ART, Dear Pamela, A Clavier for Career Starters at the Comedy Theatre; It's A Family Affair at the Alexandrinsky Theatre; Petrushka and Diary of a Madman at the Leningrad Young Viewers' Theatre; Capriccio at the Theatre at Liteyny. Elena regularly participates in Christmas exhibits at Fontany Dom, and at Seasonal Exhibits at the Theatre Worker’s Union. She has created costumes for the performance of The Star-Child (written by Oscar Wilde) at the Maly Drama Theatre.
