Born in 1958 in Abakan. Graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre Music and Cinematography in 1979 (Arkady Katsman and Lev Dodin's class). Vlasov has been an actor at the Maly Drama Theatre since 1981 and is an Merited Artist of Russia (1993). He plays Yegorsha in Brothers and Sisters, Shatov in The Devils, the Muzhik in Mumu, God in Chevengur, Autolycus in The Winter`s Tale, the Second Woodcutter in The Star-Child, Sasha in The Moscow Choir Duke of Cornwall and Earl of Kent in King Lear. Sergey Vlasov has appeared in the films Friends of Merrymaking and Amusement, The Tarantula, First Chapters, Rafferty, In the Shooting Wilderness, The Cold Summer of 1953, Crossing the Line, Streets of Broken Lamps, May First and others.
