Born in Leningrad in 1970. In 1995 graduated from the St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy (Lev Dodin’s acting and directing class). Has worked at the Maly Drama Theatre since 1990. Plays Voinitsev in A Play Without a Title, Roderick in The Long Christmas Dinner, Petya in Small Restaurant, the Fisherman and Sasha Dvanov in Chevengur, Petr Verkhovensky in The Devils, Oswald in King Lear, Liss in Life and Fate, Seumas Shields in The Shadow of a Gunman, Dull in Love`s Labour`s Lost. He has also worked as a Second Director at the performance of Molly Sweeney and The Seagull. Has staged the performances of: The Love of Don Perlimplin (The Maly Drama Theatre – Theatre of Europe, 2004); DE PROFUNDIS <Message from the Underworld> (Creative project by Alexey Devotchenko, 2006); The Shadow of a Gunman (The Maly Drama Theatre – Theatre of Europe, 2008) Mandelstam is gone (Athour`s Theatre, 2008); Has appeared in the films The Fortieth Day, I’m Ivan, You’re Abraham (France), Empire Under Fire.
